ILS Internship Guidelines and Forms
ILS Internships allow students in the master's and specialist degree programs to work in real world settings, guided by knowledgeable, experienced, and successful supervisors. Internships help in exploring career options and provide potential employers a valuable perspective on a student's interests and experience. ILS maintains a list of internship placements for which we have been contacted by the potential supervisors.
Z605, Internship in Information Library Services, is offered for variable credit; each academic credit hour requires 60 hours of onsite work. Eligibility and requirements are listed under prospective intern. ILS does not guarantee placement, but each student is encouraged to seek an internship that helps in meeting the student’s career goals. Students who currently hold, or have held a full-time position in a library may be eligible to waive the internship requirement. Please contact Carol Choksy, the course instructor— firstname.lastname@example.org to determine eligibility.
If you have any questions, please contact the ILS Internship Coordinator, Michelle Dunbar-Sims — email@example.com.
