Visitor Parking

IU Bloomington has a user-based parking system, which is paid for by permit fees. As a visitor, you are a guest of those around you who pay for the facilities and are always welcome on our campus.

Visitors who wish to park on university property must either use a pay facility, park at a meter, or obtain a visitor parking permit. Visitor permits are issued daily and are intended to serve the needs of those who are occasionally on campus. More frequent and regular campus visitors are expected to purchase a regular parking permit.

Visitors may obtain One-day Permits at the Henderson Parking Garage (310 S. Fess Ave.) or the Indiana Memorial Union (900 E. Seventh St.), Visitor-disabled permits (ADA Accessible Parking Locations) at the Henderson Parking Garage, park in one of the five pay-parking garages or park short-tem in a metered parking area.

The Monroe County Visitor's Bureau has links for a variety of lodging options.
