- Z532 Information Architecture for the Web (3 cr.)
- Z534 Search (3 cr.)
- Z603 Workshop in Library and Information Science (1–3 cr.): Choose a workshop in Digitizing, Encoded Archival Description (EAD), Metadata Object Description Schema (MODS), XML, or another topic approved by the specialization advisor
- Z604 Topics in Library and Information Science (1–4 cr.): Choose a course in Digital Curation, Metadata and Semantics, Scholarly Communication, or another topic approved by the specialization advisor
- Z633 Indexing (3 cr.)
- Z635 Ontologies (3 cr.)
- Z636 Semantic Web (3 cr.)
