On Wednesday, February 28, 2007, the next SLIS Job Seeking Workshop discussion will provide valuable tips for writing successful cover letters and how to handle the interviewing process for positions in public libraries. The featured speaker will be Steve Backs from the Monroe County Public Library. The event facilitator is David Ross.
The Job Workshop series was designed collectively by SLIS, and the Chi Chapter of Beta Phi Mu (the library and information science honorary society).
On Friday, March 2, 2007, the Indiana Special Libraries Association (SLA) and the IU SLA - Student Chapter (SLA-SC) are presenting the Round Robin Résumé Review. This popular annual event is a great opportunity to obtain professional advice and feedback on your resume. For a list of librarians who will be available to review résumés and more information about the event, visit: the SLA Round Robin Resume Review page.
