P438 Introduction to Computer Networks

Prerequisite(s): CSCI-C 335.

Foundations of computer networks. Networking hardware technology such as Ethernet, ATM, wireless. Networking protocols (TCP/IP), routing, error correcting. Network services such as DNS, Web servers, virtual private networks (VPN), open SSL. Credit given for only one of CSCI-P 438, P 538, ENGR-E 318, or E 518.
